The digital library of K.H.Kempen enables you to search several e-resources, such as databases, e-journals and e-books, all of which are accessible through Librisource+, the e-source platform of the Association K.U.Leuven.

Borrowing

Who can borrow?

Students and staff members of the K.H.Kempen and other institutions of the K.U.Leuven Association can borrow from our college libraries for free. In order to borrow library items, you need a valid library card. This is the student card for students and the staff card for staff members. External visitors can get a library card after registration at the reception desk with their identity card. They have to pay an annual membership fee of 15 euros.

In case of loss of your library card (staff card, student card or external library card), please report this immediately to the reception desk. If you fail to report the loss or theft of your library card, you will be held liable for all unauthorised use of your library card.

What is the loan period?

Items can be on loan for three weeks. This period is renewable twice. You can extend your loan period by logging in to your library account in the catalogue. You can only extend your loan period if your current one hasn't expired! External visitors cannot extend their loan period.

How many items?

Students and staff members can have 10 items on loan; external visitors 5 items.

What are the charges?

Our services are free for students and staff members of the K.H.Kempen and K.U.Leuven Association. External visitors pay an annual membership fee of 15 euros.

All library patrons (students, staff and external visitors) are charged a fee of 10 eurocents per item per day when their loan period has expired.

External visitors pay 2 euros in case of loss of their library card.

DoKS is the thesis database of our university college. The theses are full text searchable and accessible to everyone:
