International Days K.H.Kempen: 15-17 February 2012
Welcome!
Dear guests,
this is a very important message for those of you who plan to arrive on Wednesday 15th
February (and also from Tuesday 14th from 10pm onwards). We have serious reason to
believe that there will be a strike of the public transport system, (starting on Tuesday
evening and lasting the entire day of Wednesday).
Of course we will try to get you here on time, so we will have to contact some taxi or
bus companies. If we can arrange for some of you to catch a taxi or bus together, the
cost for you will be minimal, as you will be able to share.
Please send ASAP an email to international-days@khk.be:
- time of arrival
- which airport
- flight number
- destination (is your hotel situated in Geel, Turnhout, Herentals???)
We will get back to you soon with more information,
I am looking forward to meeting you then,
Agnes Dillien
We are pleased to invite lecturers from respective study fields of our partner institutes to our university college in the framework of the Erasmus teacher exchange programme. We strongly believe in the importance of the international dimension for all our students and in the networking and the exchange of knowhow and experience between lecturers.
You will teach our Bachelor/Master students about their respective subjects, so that our students will get a true internationalisation@home experience.
The programme consists of sessions, lectures or workshops of our international guests, which may be taught a number of times to different groups. Sessions are open to all students interested. Furthermore, lecturers are asked to prepare a country presentation, focusing on general background, study- and work opportunities and practical and cultural differences. Classes can be taught in English, French or German. On our website you will find some suggestions of possible topics.
The kick off will be the opening seminar on Wednesday morning 15th February with some eminent speakers. The theme of our 8th international days is connected to the European theme of 2012: “Towards a pro-active ageing Europe", Challenges for the younger generation! We focus on how to prepare students to this new future reality.
You are invited to have your lectures in the context of our main theme, but this is not mandatory.
During the whole programme, there will be many networking possibilities with colleagues, representatives from companies and organisations we work with, and of course students! And you will get to know the cities of the Kempen region.
If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us on international-days@khk.be
We are looking forward to seeing you soon.
Agnes Dillien
and the international team
