Linguistic requirements for exchange students

The working language in the college is Dutch. Knowing a bit of Dutch is an asset but all exchange students are offered an introductory crash course in the Dutch language during their stay .
We have lots of course material in English about subjects connected to a study field. An English tutor can support foreign students and all lecturers can communicate in English and in French, some also in German.

Linguistic requirements for full-degree students

Students from the EU-zone who are Dutch speaking or have a sufficient knowledge of Dutch will be enrolled immediately at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen, if they comply with the conditions of the decree. Please turn to the Dutch version of this website , for the Dutch enrolment form.

Other applicants fill in the English Application Form in order to be allowed to enrol at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen.

If it is not clear if the student has a sufficient knowledge of Dutch, he will be invited to take the test of Dutch, at the Campus Geel. Level 4 result is required in order to be admitted to the course.

Admission to study at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen will be granted by the departmental head. If the applicant is in Belgium he will use this letter of admission to present himself at the municipal service of his town of residence.

The applicant who has obtained an admission to study and who can prove that he is enrolled at the municipal service of the town of residence, valid until October of the next year, will be enrolled as a student at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen. He will receive a student card and a proof of enrolment.
