Vorselaar

Vorselaar is a green village in the heart of the Kempen region along the rivers Nete and Aa.  The village was constructed around a triangular market square.  Church, castle and convent were the pillars of its history.  St Peter’s is an ancient church which played a role far outside Vorselaar itself; the moated castle has vast wooded lands laid out with lanes and ponds.  The convent became a renowned centre of education from the 19th century on.  Other attractions in Vorselaar are the Fourteen Chapels, the Kaak, the Schrans, a sports centre, and many walks and bicycle paths.
